The registration form collects five things. This page says what each one is for, what it is held under, how long it stays, and how to get a copy or have it erased.
Five fields, and what each one does
Name
Addressing you in the listing email. It is never published on this site.
Email address
Sending the DoraHacks listing link and the rules. It is the only way to reach a registrant.
Track
Grouping registrations so each track lead knows the size of their field before week three.
Message
Optional. Read once while the track briefs are written, then left alone.
Language and time of submission
Sending the right translation, and fixing the day the twelve months start counting from.
The basis is your own request, not a tick-box
Article 6(1)(b) covers steps taken at your request before an agreement is entered into. You asked to be sent the listing link, so that is what the record rests on, and the form carries no consent checkbox pretending otherwise. Consent that a service cannot run without was never freely given. Analytics is the one thing here that does run on consent, and it stays off until you say yes.
Twelve months from the day you register
Each row carries its own expiry date, written at the moment it is created, and the purge runs against that date rather than against anyone's memory. Twelve months covers the eight-week program, the sixty-day maintenance window that follows it, and the gap before a second event would be announced.
Cloudflare D1 holds it, Vercel serves it, nobody else reads it
Records go to Cloudflare D1. The site runs on Vercel. Registrations are readable by the Astralis Chain program leads and by the engineers maintaining this site, and by nobody else. Nothing is sold, and nothing reaches an advertiser.
Vercel Analytics counts page views and nothing else
Vercel Analytics counts page views. It sets no advertising identifier and does not follow you to other sites. It does not load at all until it is allowed, and this control changes the answer whenever you like.
